ALASKA REA WORKSHOPS
In the 2018 Central Yukon REA (CYR) and North Slope REA (NOS) workshop, we increased the amount of time spent on using REAs by including management questions from the Field and more hands-on exercises. CYR encompasses the Kobuk Ridges and Valleys ecoregion, the Ray Mountains ecoregion, and all areas of the Brook Range ecoregion from the crest of the range southward. NOS includes the Beaufort Coastal Plains ecoregion, the Brooks Foothills ecoregion, and all areas of the Brook Range ecoregion from the crest of the range northward.
Previously power-user REA workshops were held for the Seward Peninsula, Nulato Hills, and Kotzebue Sound Lowlands (SNK) REA and for the Yukon Lowlands, Kuskokwim Mountains, and Lime Hills (YKL) REA focusing on how the REAs were produced and how to access the data (see below for selected materials).
