American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS):  The world's largest multidisciplinary scientific society and a leading publisher of cutting-edge research through its Science family of journals

 

American Academy of Environmental Engineers (AAEE):  dedicated to excellence in the practice of environmental engineering to ensure the public health, safety, and welfare to enable humankind to co-exist in harmony with nature. 

 

American Federation of Mineralogical Societies (AFMS): A non-profit educational federation of seven similar regional organizations of gem, mineral and lapidary societies. Promotes popular interest and education in the various Earth Sciences, and in particular the subjects of Geology, Mineralogy, Paleontology, Lapidary and other related subjects.  

 

American Fisheries Society (AFS): the world’s oldest and largest organization dedicated to strengthening the fisheries profession, advancing fisheries science, and conserving fisheries resources.

 

American Planning Association (APA): provides leadership in the development of vital communities by advocating excellence in planning, promoting education and citizen empowerment, and providing our members with the tools and support necessary to meet the challenges of growth and change.

 

American Society of Limnology and Oceanography (ASLO): A leading professional organization for researchers and educators in the field of aquatic science, working to provide for their needs at all phases of professional development. 

 

Clay Minerals Society (CMS):  An international organization devoted to the study of clays and clay minerals. We encourage exchange of research findings through the publication of Clays and Clay Minerals, sponsorship of an annual meeting, online access to the archived journals, special publications, the Source Clays Repository, and other network building activities.

 

Ecological Society of America (ESA): the nation’s largest organization of professional ecologists.

 

International Association for Landscape Ecology (IALE): aims to develop landscape ecology as the scientific basis for the analysis, planning, and management of the landscapes of the world. IALE advances international cooperation and interdisciplinary synergism within the field, through scientific, scholarly, educational, and communication activities.

Society for Conservation Biology: an international professional organization dedicated to promoting the scientific study of the phenomena that affect the maintenance, loss, and restoration of biological diversity.

 

Society for Range Management: a professional society dedicated to supporting persons who work with rangelands and have a commitment to their sustainable use.

 

Society of American Foresters: sets the standard in forest management, bringing science, best practice, and the best people together to actively shape the future of the profession.

 

The Wilderness Society: the leading American conservation organization working to protect the nation’s shared wildlands.

Native American Fish and Wildlife Society: incorporated in 1983 to develop a national communications network for the exchange of information and management techniques related to self-determined tribal fish and wildlife management.

American Solar Energy Society (ASES):  the nation's leading association of solar professionals. We advance education, research and policy.

American Wind Energy Association (AWEA):  AWEA is a national trade association representing wind power project developers, equipment suppliers, services providers, parts manufacturers, utilities, researchers, and others involved in the wind industry 

Association of Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS):  seek to strengthen teaching, research and service in environmental studies and sciences, and to improve communication across boundaries that too often divide the traditional academic disciplines.
