Using remote sensing products to predict recovery of vegetation across space and time following energy development

We monitored vegetation recovery after energy production with remote sensing.

Trends in sagebrush cover varied with weather, elevation, soils, and well pad size.

We predicted recovery within 60 years for cool and moist, high elevation areas.

Recovery may require >100 years for warm and dry, low elevation areas.

Mapped predictions could serve as indicators of resilience in this system.
