This selected bibliography provides a list of the significant papers written from 1950 to 1985 on the use of remote sensing for inventorying and monitoring rangeland. Papers that did not seem to be pertinent or that duplicated other (more major) studies were not listed (identified). Also, some papers could not be located in time for possible inclusion in this bibliography. These may be incorporated as the bibliography is updated or revised.
