The Central Yukon Planning Area (Fig. 1) is located in central Alaska. Wildfires have been a very common occurrence in this part of the state.

Objectives of this report are: (1) to document the chronology of fire occurrence during the 1984 fire season, (2) to document geographic distribution of fires within the NWRA, and (3) to document a
